As your MLA, I've seen firsthand how our government's spring session has delivered real results for everyday Albertans. Walking the halls of the legislature these past months, I've felt the energy and determination as we passed 19 substantive bills that will make Alberta an even better place to call home.

Folks in our riding tell me constantly about their struggles with the rising cost of living. That's why I'm particularly proud that we delivered on our promise of tax relief in Budget 2025, putting up to $1,500 back into family pockets. This isn't just a number—it's groceries on the table and gas in the tank for hardworking Albertans.

The Compassionate Intervention Act stands out as legislation that truly reflects Alberta values—balancing compassion with common sense. In community visits, I've heard heartbreaking stories of families watching loved ones struggle with addiction. This new approach gives those suffering from complex addiction a fighting chance to rebuild their lives through treatment and recovery. It's about giving people their dignity back.

For rural constituents, the Agricultural Operation Practices Amendment Act is a game-changer. By providing clarity for the biogas industry, we're creating good-paying jobs right here in rural Alberta. I've already heard from local farmers excited about these new opportunities.

Anyone who's dealt with car insurance knows the frustration of rising premiums. That's why we passed the Automobile Insurance Act, creating a care-first system that's better, faster, and cheaper for Alberta drivers. It's practical solutions like this that make a difference in people's daily lives.

As a parent myself, I know how important quality education is for our children's future. The Education Amendment Act strengthens accountability in our school boards while streamlining discipline processes—ensuring our kids have the best learning environment possible.

Energy remains the backbone of our economy, and the Energy and Utilities Statutes Amendment Act supports innovations like hydrogen blending while ensuring we all have reliable, affordable electricity for years to come.

Beyond passing legislation, I've proudly stood with colleagues to defend Alberta's interests nationally. The Critical Infrastructure Defence Amendment Act protects our essential resources while supporting Alberta's sovereignty within Canada. We won't apologize for standing up for Alberta jobs and our way of life.

When I'm back in the riding talking with constituents at coffee shops and community events, I'll be proud to share how this session delivered made-in-Alberta solutions to real problems. From addressing affordability to improving healthcare access, we're building an even stronger Alberta—the best place to live, work, and raise a family.

The legislature may have adjourned for now, but my work for you continues. These 19 bills will make a real difference in your lives, and that's exactly what you sent me to Edmonton to do. I thank you for your support!
